Our accommodation of choice, the premier Lake Lure property Rumbling Bald Resort, has extended a 10% discount to all of our guests, but will be unable to traditionally block rooms. Rumbling Bald offers single room studios, multi-room condos, and large homes. We will be providing those staying on this property complementary transportation to and from the venue.
Due to Lake Lure’s demand as a holiday destination, we encourage you to book your accommodations for the weekend As Soon As Possible if you have the ability to do so.
Please be advised that there are a variety of other accommodation options in the area (alternative properties, hotels, and AirBnBs), at a variety of price points.

Rumbling Bald
Rumbling Bald offers a variety of house and condo-style lodgings ranging from single-bedroom studios to 7-bedroom vacation homes, including some with lake-front access. We encourage you to stay with any other guests you may know, in the spirit of a beloved tradition of ours, The Lake Trip!
A shuttle service will be provided from the venue to Rumbling Bald ahead of the ceremony, and during/after the reception.
In order to receive your 10% discount, use the code Day2025 when confirming online. If reserving via phone call or email, mention that you will be booking with the Barrow-Day wedding to receive the appropriate rate.
As this property cannot guarantee a block of rooms, we recommend you book your accommodations sooner rather than later. Please reach out to Alys or Graham for any information needed to assist coordinating lodging with other guests

The Lodge on Lake Lure
More traditional lodging can be found at The Lodge on Lake Lure. The Lodge is a lakefront hotel that is highly recommended by locals and beloved by visitors. Comfortable, hotel-style rooms include a continental breakfast and other typical hotel services.
We cannot guarantee shuttle service to The Lodge at this time. There is parking available on-site at The Lodge, in addition to the venue.
