How do I get to Rutherfordton, North Carolina?
-
Driving
Rutherfordton/The Lake Lure area is ~45 minutes Southeast of Asheville, North Carolina. If you are located in Atlanta, this is about a 3.5-4 hour drive.
If you’re driving from New York, it is approximately 11 hours.
If you are planning on driving to the wedding venue, there is parking at the property; we will be providing shuttle service to certain accommodation options when they are finalized.
-
Flying into Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP), Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), or Asheville Regional Airport (AVL)
GSP is a 1.5 hour drive from our venue/Rutherfordton.
For our out of state friends, this airport is a smidge closer than CLT (1.5-2 hour drive), though CLT has more flight options.
Asheville does have a small regional airport with limited flight options.

Amtrak
I know some of y’all may feel wild.
From New York Moynihan Train Hall (Penn Station, NYP) the 19 Crescent offers daily overnight service (14 hours) to Spartanburg, South Carolina, about a hour south of Rutherfordton.
From Atlanta, the 20 Crescent offers a similar option (3.5 hours), but based on current schedules, lands you in Spartanburg at 3AM.
How you get in town from that point is your business, you wild, adventurous traveler.
We chose to work with the artists of House Boheme because of their stewardship and connection towards the land we love so deeply. Please see below for House Boheme’s Land Acknowledgement:
House Boheme and its collective members wholeheartedly acknowledge that all gatherings and events are being held on traditional lands of the Eastern Cherokee, Yuchi, Catawba, and Miccosakee People, and pay our eternal respect and gratitude to elders both past and present.
At House Boheme, it is imperative that we honor, remember and pay homage to the spirit and power of Indigenous peoples and the gifts and teachings they have and continue to provide. As [the creation of] a person of Cherokee descent, the spirit of the Cherokee nation works to speak through House Boheme’s ever-evolving work of art. It is with immense pride that we celebrate Jess Reedy, a Cherokee Indigenous ceramic artist, Jennifer White, a Arikara painter, and Coco Reedy, a Cherokee Indigenous designer, and their talents that have enriched House Boheme. House Boheme is an offering of Native Spirit, it’s in the ground beneath your feet, the wind against your lips, and the sky above.
With this spirit in mind, we ask that our guests honor and take care of this land during your stay at House Boheme. Please be mindful of the beautiful nature and ecosystems that surround you during your stay. We created House Boheme with an eco-conscious mind and ask that guests take a moment to reflect on this during their stay.
